John Guth joined the Orange County SBDC team of consultants in June, 2014 as an accounting and finance specialist.
John brings over 20 years’ experience as a consultant to the Southern California business community. His expertise includes accounting and finance, software system design and implementation, strategic business planning and financing facilitation in the debt and equity markets. John has managed his own consulting and accounting firm since 2004, specializing in serving the business community in Southern California. John’s own experience while “in the trenches” leading and managing his firm over the past thirteen years allows him to bring a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge in assisting his clients. John is an Advanced Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
Prior to starting his own business, John worked for several management consulting and accounting firms. His most recent assignment was with Singer, Lewak, Greenbaum and Goldstein, LLP. While serving here as a consultant and staff manager, John had numerous clients across many different industries, giving him an added perspective to the many challenges faced by the small business community.
John serves as an adjunct professor in the Business Division at Santa Ana College. John earned his MBA from Pepperdine University in 1990. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science. John served as an active duty Air Force officer for five years as a Communications-Electronics Officer.
